Have you always wanted to learn to make jewelry but never had the time? If that is the case, this condensed three day exploration of jewelry skills is your ideal solution. From simple beading to silversmithing the wide array of classes will satisfy even the most experienced jewelry maker.

KICK OFF THE WEEKEND WITH A FREE CLASS
PEARL KNOTTING

Learn the age-old technique of Pearl Knotting using a modern day device, a Tri-Cord Knotter. This technique may also be used to create new interest to your current bead designs. Cost: FREE, Skill Level: Intermediate, Materials: must be purchased from Bead Q! Tools: Tri-cord knotter and scissors MUST CALL TO RESERVE SEAT!!!

Going Green Bracelet
Using recycled and repurposed metals, students will create a textured i.d. type bracelet frame finished with copper Rollo chain and embellished with their choice of beads. A simple clasp will be made in class as well.

BEADING 101 - Necklaces and Bracelets
Learn to make Necklaces and Bracelets using basic finishing techniques. Class instructions will cover all basic information needed to get started. All students will have the opportunity to finish one to two pieces by the end of the class. List of necessary materials and tools will be provided. Tools will be available to share.

BEADING 201 - Earrings and Pendants
Learn to create Earrings and Pendants using wire-wrapping techniques. List of necessary materials will be provided. Tools are available for sharing.

Dichroic Pendants

Learn how to make beautiful Dichroic Pendants. In this class you will learn how to properly handle glass; cutting, assembling and firing. By the end of the class , not only will you have enough knowledge to repeat the process on your own you will have TWO beautiful pendants. If you have been working with PMC you will be able to use your PMC kilns.

Lovely Sonata Ring
Silver wire and a bead is all you will need to create the perfect Sonata Ring. In this class you will learn how to coil, bend and wrap to create wire rings. Students will practice by making a copper ring then move on to a silver ring. At the end of the class all students will have 2 finished pieces.

Wrap Around Shabby Chic Bracelet

This hot new bracelet will have you all Wrapped up with the celebs! A fresh look with Swarovski crystals will have you all set for Spring. In this class you will learn to weave Swarovski crystals onto leather cording. Most students will finish a double wrap bracelet while others will finish a triple.

BASIC SOLDERING I - Charms
Learn the basic concepts in soldering while creating a Message Charm with a silver edge. This project will allow you to create a more polished look to your stamping projects. By the end of this class you will have an understanding of necessary tools and materials to successfully solder simple joints.

BEADED CABOCHON PENDANT
Learn to bezel a stone cabochon with beads. Students will be taught bead embroidery techniques which will allow them to turn stones without holes into a necklace.

Rockin' Rivets
If you have been be collecting beach glass, shells, river rock or beads that that don't have holes we have creative ways to make them useful. This class will offer hands on experience with a flex shaft and how to properly use it. Students will have the opportunity to drill holes, create a channel and finishing techniques.

Timeless Connections
Explore the world of metals and cold connections. In this workshop we will play with metal to create interesting colors, shapes, textures and connections. Bring your creativity and I will teach you how to put it all together.

Metal E-Squared
Metal Etching and Enameling. Designed to kick up your creative juices. This two part class will teach you how to create a chemical etch on copper and brass AND torch fire enamel. Students will have the choice of participating in both classes for a fun day or take one part for instant fun.

Cost: 1 part $52, both parts $95 Materials: $10/etching kit, $15/enameling kit, $20/ both kits

BOMBAY PEARL NECKLACE
(GUEST INSTRUCTOR)
Using simple tools and measurements, students will create an exotic-looking frame and wire wrap it using wire and beads of their choice. The wire-wrapped portion will be hung from a copper chain. Gemstones or Czech glass beads can be used in place of the pearls, if desired.

BRIO SCRIBBLE EARRINGS
(GUEST INSTRUCTOR)
Students will learn a great technique to create a wire-wrapped frame for a pair of briolettes which can be embellished with a wide variety of 2-4mm beads which can include seed pearls, small gemstones, fire-polished glass, and seed beads or any combination of the above. They’ll follow by creating their own fused copper ear wires.

Pre-requisite: Beading 201 or Bombay Necklace

Precious Metal Clay "The Rock!"
Learn new techniques for your PMC creations. In this class you will learn how to use a rock for a mold that PMC3 clay will be wrapped around. Embellishing, texturing and finishing techniques will complete the project.

Pre-requisite: PMC 101 or PMC Ring

TWIRLY SWIRLY BRACELET
(GUEST INSTRUCTOR)
Students will created a twisted and spiraled base that they’ll embellish with a wide variety of 2-4mm beads which can include seed pearls, small gemstones, fire-polished glass, and seed beads or any combination of the above. This bracelet is very flexible and comfortable to wear.

Paisley Pendant and Earrings (GUEST INSTRUCTOR)
Learn to wire-wrap this intricately woven pendant using only two pieces of wire. Earrings can be made to match if desired. A wide variety of beads can be used including seed pearls, small gemstones, fire-polished glass, and seed beads or any combination of the above.

WIRE WRAPPED PENDANTS- Wire Wrapping 202
If you have been collecting stones without holes, this is a great way to put them to use without distorting them. Your beading experience will be enhanced with technical wire-wrapping techniques. You will be taught how to manipulate wire with step-by-step instructions. Students will end the class with a completed piece.

NEEDLE FELTED WAVES PENDANT
Learn to make a fun and funky fiber pendant. Using different needle felting techniques, you will create and embellish a felted bead. You will learn how to use a beveled pin to make your masterpiece into wearable piece of art.

Create a whimsical necklace that can bring life to any pendant. This class will surely help you master the art of spiraling wire. Add a pendant you are on your way. (Class instruction does not include pendant wrap.)

Precious Metal Clay - Torch Fired Charms (NEW!!!)
In this class student will use metal stamps to create one of a kind charms that will be torch fired and finished by the end of class. You will learn how to fire PMC3 to completion using a small hand held torch. While this firing method has its limitations, it works well for small pieces and gives students a way to fire PMC without investing in a kiln.

BEAD EMBROIDERY CUFF
Learn to use a variety of beads to embellish a brass cuff. Students will be taught a variety of bead embroider techniques that can be used on other projects.

WIRED RINGS
Learn to capture a stone onto a ring. Students will learn wiring techniques to set cabs without soldering or drilling.
